During my high school years, I really loved vintage clothes. There was something special about them: they had a story, they had character, and they helped me stand out a little from everyone else. I loved the feeling that I wouldn\u2019t see the same piece on every other person on the street, and that it gave me the sense that \u201cyes, this is iconically me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came college, when I moved to the big city. Suddenly, everything became much more accessible: shopping malls, fast-fashion stores, one sale after another. Alongside my carefully curated vintage pieces, my closet started filling up with clothes I\u2019d bought on a whim. Mostly patterned T-shirts that might have reflected my current mood, but of course I never really got to wear them, and they just piled up in my closet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And although that abundance felt good for a while, somewhere along the way my style began to fade, becoming more ordinary. It lost its distinctiveness. The uniqueness I had once loved so much slowly faded into the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, I was commuting between two cities, and my clothes were constantly \u201cin the wrong place.\u201d Whenever I needed something, it was usually left behind in the other city. Even though I had plenty of clothes, somehow they didn\u2019t add up to a functional wardrobe. This experience really drove home the point: having a lot of clothes doesn\u2019t necessarily mean you have good style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, when I was living in just one city, many things became simpler. I needed fewer clothes. But that\u2019s when I faced the next challenge: rediscovering my own style, which had changed over time. After all, I had changed too. As time went on, along with new roles and life situations, my style evolved. What used to be \u201cme\u201d didn\u2019t necessarily work the same way anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s when I realized that style isn\u2019t really a fixed point that we find once and then it\u2019s set in stone. It\u2019s much more of a creative process. A game, an experiment, a reinterpretation. Sometimes it means revisiting old inspirations, and sometimes it means trying out completely new directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And perhaps that is precisely what makes it so exciting: that it never really ends, but rather resembles a circular process more than a one-way journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
